Was reading this article on CNN last weekend, and thought would be wonderful to share this one.
Researchers came up with this hybrid rice, which can survive flood for many days.
-flood-tolerant rice could survive 17 days in complete flood Vs. ordinary rice which survives 3 days.
- That could save about 4 million ton of rice, which is equivalent to feeding 30 million people.
- About half of the worldn't population eats Rice as a staple.
